Welcome to Living Aware

Living Aware is on a mission to source quality products, services, and places that provide the higher standard of social and environmental sustainability in the office, home, and for your life.   As an accredited LEED-AP, with the US Green Building Council, and an active participant in the green movement, we will help you live a life more aware of the world around you.

It is our belief to discuss and show everyone how they too can be or be a better advocate for the environment, but also amazing to other people and to ourselves.  Green doesn’t have to be “hippie”.  It does have to be well-made by a craftsman paid for their artistry, with little or no environmental impact and of course cherished by the end-user.

My mother, and inspiration, will tell you I have a long history of being green and a bit high maintenance for the more lavish things in life.  Living Aware, will show you what we have found to be worth our hard-earned money and make you feel great about making a responsible purchase, and having an incredible experience.  We look forward to your comments and building an aware community.

Thank you for following us on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and the Living Aware Daily website.

Greenest Regards,

Brooke

Write For Us?

Think you can write better stories?

If you’re mad about Living Aware and obsessed with living a more socially responsible and environmentally friendly life, and want to contribute to our blog, we are always on the look out for creative and talented writers with something to say. If you have the writing bug, we would love to hear from you.

Since writing skills are essential for this position, we’ll need a writing sample (either a blog/website or text) demonstrating your proficiency and style in proper English. Preferably, you are already a blogger, but those with less experience are welcome as long as you love being ecofriendly

You must be able to post more than once a week and be prepared to defend any statements you make in the comments section of your posts.

We are looking for writers/contributors in various cities to write about green, ecofriendly, products, places, buildings, furniture, gardens, fashion, travel, hotels, shopping and similar topics.

Look at what we’re already publishing to get an idea of the kind of stories we like, but don’t be afraid to submit an idea that’s unlike anything else we’ve ever run.

Please note that at the moment, every contribution is on a volunteer basis, for which there is no monetary compensation. This may change in the future according to the growing popularity of this site.

However, there are many perks to joining our team. You can gain valuable experience, get product samples and your “author” status can be used to attend green events related to sustainability, food, fashion.
